 The Town of Archidona  Archidona is a picturesque town steeped in history and tradition. It has a bustling community of 8800 people, beautiful churches, a hill-top sanctuary, tapas bars, a handful of local restaurants, a supermarket with a wonderful fresh fish & seafood counter and is at the heart of Andalucia, making it easy to explore the vibrant city of Seville, bohemian Granada, Moorish Cordoba, intriguing Jerez, the memorable town of Ronda and the beaches of Malaga.  It is located in the north of the Malaga province, 45 mins from both Malaga and Granada airports and just 12kms from the large, governing town of Antequera. Antequera has now introduced the fast AVE train service to Madrid and is working towards introducing a new local airport (expected 2012). This has seen property prices there escalate, making Archidona one of the nearest affordable alternatives.
